Cookie Policy

This page explains how Costwise Finds uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them. It is a companion to our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep on your device. Related technologies — local storage, pixels, and the software kits inside advertising code — operate differently but serve similar ends, and we call all of them “cookies” here.

Why we use them

  • Strictly necessary. Security, core site functionality, remembering your consent choice, and balancing server load. These cannot be turned off from inside the site.
  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to see which articles get read, how visitors arrive, and which pages underperform. The data is used in aggregate to improve the site, not to identify you.
  • Advertising. Our third-party advertising partners use cookies to select ads, limit repeat impressions, and measure whether campaigns worked. Depending on your consent and your region, some may support personalised advertising.

Third-party cookies

Some cookies here are set by other companies — analytics and advertising providers, including Google and its advertising partners. Those cookies are outside our control, and the data collected through them is governed by each provider’s privacy policy.

How to control cookies

Where law requires it, we ask for consent before setting non-essential cookies, and the consent control on the site lets you change or withdraw that choice at any time. Browsers can also block or delete cookies, and private browsing clears them at the end of a session. Blocking all cookies may break parts of the site.

Device-level advertising controls exist in your browser and operating system, and mobile platforms generally include a setting to limit ad tracking. Google’s advertising controls are at adssettings.google.com.

Changes

This policy is updated when our use of cookies changes. The effective date above marks the current version, and material changes are reflected in the consent control too.
